Martha and her husband, George, serve with Serge, a missions sending organization based in Philadelphia. Initially sent out by First Presbyterian Church in Griffin they lived and ministered in Kenya from 1994-2021, first among the rural Maasai people and then in the capital city, Nairobi. They now live in Milledgeville, where Martha serves as a Member Care Associate with Serge, providing support, encouragement, and a listening ear to missionaries around the globe. Her deep desire is to see these families thrive through cultivating an intimate relationship with Jesus, serving out of a strong sense of their identity as his beloved children, and responding in joyful obedience to his unique call on their lives. The Mixons have five adult children, a son- and daughter-in-law, and one granddaughter.
