About Pathways

The Story of Pathways

Pathways gathering began as a conversation between women on the way home from a Conference in Augusta where there was great Bible teaching. A single questions started the journey to who we are today:

“Why can’t we have this for women in Griffin?”

The conversations grew into a multi-denominational group desiring to bring women together for Bible Study and worship. Our hope is to encourage women in their walk with Jesus. As Paul says in Colossians 3:16-17: "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of God the Father through him.

What We Believe

As we strive to be a multi-denominational gathering of women, we have adopted the Apostles' Creed as a standard by which we believe.

Apostles' Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.

And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; he descended into Hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there he shall come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit; the holy universal church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
